Red Earth Wearable Art
by Casey Carpenter
Casey can be found at the Red Earth Wearable Art channel on You Tube demonstrating the cobweb felting technique. When not creating, you can find her playing Tai Chi and dancing. An accomplished public speaker, Casey also enjoys coaching women entrepreneurs, moderating panel discussions, and discussing her new book, “Introverts in Sales: Turn Your Peaceful Power Into A Profitable Selling Machine.”
Casey is an entrepreneur and business coach living in Montclair, NJ. She owns and designs for Red Earth Wearable Art, an eclectic gemstone jewelry and felted wear company that promises “foxy funkiness & singular sophistication” to its wearers.
Casey’s jewelry has been featured in The October Gallery in Philadelphia; in museum gift shops at the studio museum in harlem; The Montclair Art Museum; and the Jersey City Museum.
Her felted cloak, “Heritage” debuted at the “Perspectives” art exhibit. “Heritage” uses the cobweb felting technique and highlights African mud cloth; the MacPherson Tartan and Native American printed cloth. Each of the geometric cloth pieces symbolizes the artist’s DNA.
