by Emma Paxton
Emma Paxton has been making jewelry since she was seven, when she was given a bead kit for Christmas. This sparked a passion for jewelry-making that has continued throughout the years. Emma's other passions include music, which she has been playing also since childhood; and in which she minored, with a B.A. in psychology, at the University of New Hampshire.
Emma is based in northern New Jersey and makes
an array of handmade jewelry, including a line that is eco-conscious, utilizing recycled materials. Her jewelry is eclectic by nature, as she enjoys experimenting with different tastes & styles. "My slogan is 'something for everyone' and I hope that is genuinely the case." While her jewelry is diverse, there is still a cohesiveness to it. "I think diversity is important, and I like to think my diverse taste is a reflection of the town I grew up in, Montclair, well known for its diversity.
EMP Designs has been featured in juried art shows, markets in New York City, shops, and more.
