Who We Are
The Eclectic Chic Boutique is a collective of over 20 artists, artisans, and makers from all over New jersey, each specializing in a unique craft or product line. We are more than consignment. We look to assist artists with promotion and the development of their crafts, as well as build a strong creative community.
The Eclectic Chic Boutique is two-folded – benefits for the artists, and for the customers. Our goal is to build a platform for artists to connect to customers, and vice versa. We give the artist the opportunity to take on the role of being a maker, rather than juggling the jobs of manufacturing the crafts, marketing and selling their products. We market and promote their crafts on our websiteand social media, and have them for sale at craft shows and our pop up shop at 4 Midland Ave in Montclair. In addition to retail, each artist gets a profile page on our website, displaying their photo and bio.
We build a relationship with the artists and help them learn to present their work and create strategies to effectively capitalize on their creations. We also help artists find teaching opportunities and host craft parties.
For customers, The Eclectic Chic Boutique offers customers high quality, curated crafts from local artists, many of whom they may have seen at vendor events. Our website and Pop Up Shop give customers the opportunity to shop from a variety of artists in one place. In addition to the crafts, we have a blog that informs customers of different ways they can live a more creative and healthy lifestyle. Customers can learn new skills by taking craft classes, taught by the artists who create them. They can also host craft parties, sparking new ways to get friends and family together to be more social and creative. Every purchase made is an investment in the lives of our artists livelihood.
Our mission is to be known as an inclusive environment where anyone is welcome to come and be creative and appreciate creativity – mothers and fathers with children and pets, special needs, seniors, and others are all welcome. We would be a place where customers know they can find high quality, curated crafts and learn how to live a healthy and creative lifestyle. We would also have a program to train and employ special needs teens and adults on retail skills, such as interacting with customers, managing inventory, and other essential job experiences. For our artists, we would like to be able to provide hands on business classes to help them grow as entrepreneurs.
